A basic practical course for people who read in church - a companion volume to the Handbook for Readers. Many readers do not know or cannot locate the church documents they need, and the kind of material which will help them work on important aspects of public speech. This Workbook contains extracts from the official documents, practical exercises for readers, and samples of resources such as scripture commentaries which readers can decide to go on explore, suggesting further reading and study. The material has been developed through use in workshops with readers and is recommended for individual and group work. Throughout the book, as in its companion Handbook, there is an emphasis on the Presence of Christ in scripture. The Reader is handling holy things just as much as the Minister of the Eucharist. Number of Pages: 72.
