Paperback. At a time of transition in her life, Lisa received a cryptic message from her dying mother, a message which she took to mean she should look back to understand how to move forward. Writing was Lisa's way to reminisce about what God had done in her life. The words of her testimony begin with memories as a child that include God's love shown to her before she even knew Jesus. Her testimony continues with how she met Jesus in college and how God restored her relationship with her dad. Her story of God's sovereignty and faithfulness includes starting a home for women, smuggling scripture into Russia, and lobbying her State Legislature. Lisa shares grateful testimonies of how God used so many people to help establish her faith on a firm foundation of the Word of God. She also writes about the blessings of marriage, family, and home schooling. Lisa gives heart-felt, personal views of her experiences navigating through different churches, doctrines, and ministries in the Body of Christ. Writing her testimony was a way to look back, and by the time she got to the last page, she was inspired about how to move forward. Throughout "The Words of My Testimony," Lisa encourages readers regarding their own relationship with God. Lisa compares her writings to the carvings of victories on a shepherd's staff of testimony.
