我常说散文写作,与作者的距离最近。散文基本上是直接对着读者说话,最容易看出作者的性情及学养。辛晔兄工作繁忙之余,写作极勤。他博学多识,故涉及的领域甚广。写诗,新诗和旧诗双管齐下;写散文杂文,也写书评。文如其人的说法,并非处处适用,但在他身上,却是恰如其分。和他接触久了,在他身上看到的,听到的,感觉到的,包括他言谈中不动声色的针砭,都在文章中得到呼应,简直如水照影。他的诗取材于日常事物,语言平易,篇幅简短,而寓意深,有哲理,尤多反讽。他的杂文如行文流水,就像他的发言,逢到往深里说的时候,不像某些名家,先端架子,把势头摆足,而只是顺笔写出,当读到的人若有所悟的时候,已经戛然而止。

昔人评欧阳修所作的序言,"叙人详,叙文略,互照自晓。"我于辛晔兄,亦复如是。见其人,听其言,如读其文。

有文字即有道。道就是文字。一个人的理想,就体现在他的言语和文字中。

邱辛曄,80年代畢業於復旦大學中文系,曾任上海三聯書店編輯。1990年留學美國,先後獲得多所大學多種學科的碩士學位。

2000年以來從事公共圖書館服務,擔任法拉盛圖書館副館長20多年。法拉盛詩歌節執行委員,紐約海外作家筆會副會長,《紐約一行》季刊編委。曾為《中國文學大辭典》《元曲鑒賞辭典》撰稿。翻譯出版《保守主義》《控制革命》《皇帝與秀才》。為《顧雅明傳》《法拉盛傳》《解語落花:中國經典之閱讀、教學與對話》《法拉盛故事》共同作者,《詩夜星游集》主編,《紐約不眨眼睛》《喊:疫情下的漢詩之聲》《疫情隨筆散文選》以及歷屆法拉盛詩歌節作品選共同主編。出版個人詩集《深洞》《自選詩100首》;文集《圈里圈外》《矯正人類行為的地球課》。詩文入選《紐約一行》《三重奏:美國華裔現代詩選》以及紐約華文作家協會年度文集等。獲26屆漢新文學獎散文一等獎。擔任系列電視紀錄片《法拉盛故事》撰稿人和主持人。曾為「世界週刊」兩個專欄撰稿十餘年。

2014年獲得美國國會嘉獎,2016年和2019年分別獲紐約市議會、紐約市主計長褒獎令。

Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.

Statutory right to withdraw

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).

We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to Books Puddle, New York, New York, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
