Tall 8vo., gilt-stamped moss green cloth in dark blue/very pale blue unclipped dustwrapper with biography of the author on rear flap, 7-32pp. Verso reads : Or Shall We Die? was commissioned from (the author) and Michael Berkeley by the London Symphony Orchestra Chorus. It was first performed at the Royal Symphony Hall on 6 February 1983 by Heather Harper (Soprano) and Stephen Roberts (Baritone) and the London Symphony Orchestra and Chorus conducted by Richard Wilcox.
