About Words Matter Booksellers
We are online based vintage bookseller based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and Galena, Illinois. We have a diverse and expanding inventory of used and vintage non-fiction and fiction titles published between 1850 and 2025. We are passionate about books and anything to do with the written word and want to share that passion with our customers. We are committed to representing our listings accurately and efficiently - as objectively as possible. With that in mind we have chosen to represent our catalog primarily with digital images instead of subjective text descriptions. Yes, words do matter, but a picture tells a thousand words. We at Words Matter Booksellers believe that we should provide our customers the benefit of seeing each and every listing - just as they would be able to do in a brick and mortar shop. Words Matter Booksellers donates 10% of profits to The Milwaukee Center for Children and Youth (MCCY). The Milwaukee Center for Children and Youth (MCCY) was founded to address gaps in services for kids who have been abused or neglected. Through personalized services, advocacy and education--including efforts to increase literacy--the organization works to inspire multi-generational change in children and families. MCCY is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation (EIN #45-3068553). We are happy to answer any queries you may have about our listings, our store, or just to talk about books! Thank you for your consideration and interest.
