Synopsis:
This edition of Words of life focuses on 'Peace, Perfect Peace'. We explore the Old Testament books of 1 and 2 Kings, Nehemiah and Ecclesiastes, while in the New Testament we look together at Mark's Gospel, some chapters in John's Gospel, and finish with Paul's profound letter to the Romans. Each weekend we zero in on a psalm or proverb, as well as a song. Our guest writers for the Pentecost series are Singaporean officers Lieut-Colonels Bob and Wendy Lee. As we read together may we all find, then embrace, God's perfect peace in our lives.
About the Author: Major Beverly Ivany holds a BA in English and a Bachelor of Music, as well as a Masters Degree in Theological Studies. She and her husband David have served in various appointments with The Salvation Army in their homeland, Canada. Beverly is the author of Kid Talk, Teen Talk and Mentorship. She is also an accomplished musician.
