- Book 2 of 7: How to write
Who doesn't love a good story?
It has been said that within each of us are endless tales to tell, and many of us are eager to let those stories out into the world. Whether the pen touches the paper or the fingers press the computer keys, there's something vividly romantic about the act of writing stories.
But how, exactly, does one start a fiction piece? Do you just sit there and type while the muses whisper sweet nothings in your ear? Author Lauren Bingham is here to provide tips on how to write fiction for folks who are timid, terrified, or somewhere in between.
This book is for those who have been waiting too long to write a story. Whether it's short fiction, a novelette, a children's book, or even a fable, you don't need to hesitate any longer. Whether you want to learn how to write best-selling fiction or have a short story you've been aching to put on paper, this book provides motivation and patient guidance throughout the process.
In One Word at a Time: How to Write a Fiction Book for Beginners, Laura Bingham is back with words of wit and wisdom for fiction writers.
- Do you need help making words appear on the page?
- Does the blinking cursor of a blank document intimidate or annoy you?
- Are you concerned that your writing aspirations are simply imposter syndrome?
Then this book is for you. With her gentle words of guidance and self-care approach to overcoming writing woes, Ms. Bingham continues the educational path laid in her first book, How to Write a Book: A Book for Anyone Who Has Never Written a Book (But Wants To) with a special edition for fiction writers.
Through One Word at a Time: How to Write a Fiction Book for Beginners, you'll get expert pointers on how to write a book for beginners. You'll understand how to develop characters, scenes, plot points, perspective, and all of the elements that make a fiction piece come to life. You'll gain insight into the process with real examples from the author's notebook as well as the opportunity to participate in writing exercises to help you work on your craft as you read.
