In the aftermath of Orfeo’s defeat, a new threat emerges from the shadows. Index, the mysterious creation left behind by the Controllers’ leader. He’s abducted Raelinn and vanished without a trace. Invisible yet omnipresent, he’s manipulating governments, police, and public fear from behind the scenes, turning society against itself while freedoms quietly disappear. Chaos spreads across the real world and the realms alike, and nobody knows who can still be trusted.
For Yas, Sam, and the Word Guardians, the search for Raelinn becomes a desperate race against a mastermind who is always ten steps ahead. But Index’s true plan is far more terrifying than anyone imagined. He is no longer seeking control over stories. He intends to rewrite reality itself. As the boundaries between imagination and existence begin to fracture, the Guardians will be pushed beyond every limit they thought possible, forced to challenge everything they know about magic, loyalty, and even the nature of truth.
The Word Guardians and the Shadow Readers is a high-stakes fantasy adventure where conspiracies spread through the shadows, reality bends beneath hidden forces, and the power of stories may become humanity’s greatest weapon, or its downfall.
