Item description from seller

This book is in fine condition. There is wrinkle on the bottom front cover and first few pages but not tears or stains. The book is an analysis of the many costly failures when 'new' lands are settled in poorer countries today and also a discussion of the role feminist theory has to play in finding solutions to such problems. The authors argue for appropriate planning which responds to local cultures. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit environmental restoration and education.
