Print on Demand. This book is a collaborative effort by farmer cooperative leaders and educational experts that describes how rural women can contribute to the success of the cooperatives to which their families belong. It presents a "how to" guide to help farm women build and maintain far better membership relations and community support within their cooperatives. The authors interviewed numerous cooperative members to compile a comprehensive list of ways farm women can get involved in their cooperatives such as evaluating their own farms and family needs, initiating business contacts, training the next generation of cooperative members, assisting with cooperative governance and management, and contributing to the overall public image of their cooperative. The book concludes that by harnessing the collective efforts of its female members, cooperatives can broaden their impact and better serve their farmer-owners. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
