Enter Quinceton Rift, a black military sniper thrust into the heart of New California's border dispute with Nevada. As he navigates this brave new world, Rift's journey unfolds in three gripping acts: from loyal soldier to disillusioned citizen, and finally to a man seeking his own brand of justice at the annual anti-racist gala.
"Wokelynd" is a bold, provocative tale that holds a mirror to our current societal trends, extrapolating them to their logical—and chilling—conclusion. With razor-sharp wit and unflinching honesty, George Denny crafts a world where language is debased, individual rights are sacrificed on the altar of collective identity, and the pursuit of equality has mutated into a twisted quest for "equity."
As Rift's eyes are opened to the fundamental truths of his world, readers are invited to question the trajectory of our own society. How far will the crusade for social justice go? At what cost do we pursue a utopia of perfect equity? And who are the real heroes in a world where virtue is measured by victimhood?
Denny's debut novel is a tour de force of speculative fiction, offering a stark warning about the dangers of unchecked ideological extremism. "Wokelynd" challenges readers to confront uncomfortable truths, spark crucial conversations, and ultimately, to fight for a future where true equality—not enforced equity—prevails.
Prepare to be provoked, enlightened, and thoroughly entertained by this audacious exploration of identity politics taken to its ultimate conclusion. "Wokelynd" is not just a novel; it's a rallying cry for free thought in an age of conformity.
About the Author:
George P. Denny is a fearless new voice in American literature, unafraid to tackle the most controversial issues of our time. Born in San Francisco and raised in Brookline, MA, Denny's unique perspective is shaped by his experiences on both coasts of a deeply divided nation.
His return to California in 2004, followed by a transformative decade in San Francisco (2011-2023), provided him with a front-row seat to the city's dramatic rise and fall. This tumultuous period inspired Denny to embark on an ambitious literary project: a trilogy of novels addressing the critical issues he believes are eroding the foundations of American society.
"Wokelynd," Denny's explosive debut, is the first installment in this trilogy. It showcases his talent for weaving complex social commentary into gripping narrative fiction. As an outspoken political independent, Denny brings a refreshing objectivity to his work, challenging readers across the political spectrum to question their assumptions and engage in honest, open debate.
Denny's writing is characterized by its unflinching examination of controversial subjects, pushing against the boundaries of acceptable discourse in pursuit of larger truths. His ultimate goal is not to provide easy answers, but to spark crucial conversations about the future of American identity and values.
Above all, Denny identifies as an American and a seeker of truth. These core values infuse every page of his work, inviting readers to join him in grappling with the most pressing issues of our time. With "Wokelynd," George P. Denny establishes himself as a powerful new literary voice, one that promises to shape the conversation around American identity for years to come.
