Print on Demand. This book argues that human testimony alone is insufficient to establish the truth of the gospel. The author contends that the facts of the gospel lie beyond the scope of human observation and investigation, and that they can only be known through supernatural revelation. The book explores the nature of this revelation, and argues that it is ultimately grounded in the person and work of Jesus Christ. The author examines the testimony of the witnesses to Christ, including John the Baptist, the apostles, and the Holy Spirit. He argues that these witnesses, while human, were given divine authority to speak on behalf of Christ. The book concludes by emphasizing the importance of faith in Christ, and the need for us to rely on his testimony rather than on our own understanding. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. …

A clear, accessible look at how history, scripture, the Spirit, and the church testify to Jesus.
This book clarifies what evidence really counts in Christian faith.
The book collects lectures that explain why human testimony alone cannot fully prove the gospel and how divine witnesses complete the picture. It surveys the works, the scriptures, and the life of the church to show how belief is grounded in both history and spiritual insight.
Written for thoughtful readers, it presents a practical framework for understanding why Christianity claims are trustworthy, while inviting readers to engage with the evidence without surrendering healthy skepticism.
- Explains the limits of human testimony and the role of divine witness
- Outlines how the Father, the Son, the Spirit, and the church bear united witness
- Discusses the relationship between revelation, history, and faith
- Offers a framework for readers to assess Christian claims with clarity
Ideal for readers seeking a measured, historical approach to Christian evidence and belief.
