Paperback. Discover a wiser faith, one that survives success, disappointment, and suffering. What happens when life doesn't work the way Proverbs seems to promise? Why do faithful people suffer? How do we trust God when life feels more like Ecclesiastes than Proverbs? And what can Job teach us when our questions remain unanswered? The Wisdom That Remains invites readers into one of Scripture's richest conversations. Rather than reading Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Job separately, Andrew J. Suite shows how these three books belong together.Proverbs reveals the patterns of God's world and the wisdom of living well.Ecclesiastes challenges easy answers and reminds us that life cannot always be predicted or controlled.Job confronts suffering, questions our assumptions, and invites us to trust God even when explanations fail.Together, these books offer something deeper than a collection of good advice. They reveal a mature, resilient faith-one that makes room for uncertainty, honest questions, and the enduring grace of God.Drawing on Scripture, pastoral experience, and the realities of everyday life, Suite explores what biblical wisdom looks like when our expectations collide with experience. With a thoughtful, accessible approach, he invites readers to move beyond simplistic answers toward a faith that can hold both conviction and mystery. Each chapter offers: An accessible exploration of biblical wisdom and its relevance today.Thought-provoking reflections that connect Scripture with real-life experiences.Practical invitations to examine assumptions, embrace humility, and grow in faith.Questions for personal reflection or meaningful small-group conversation.Perfect for individual reading, personal spiritual growth, and church discussion groups, The Wisdom That Remains is for anyone who has wondered why doing the right thing doesn't always produce the expected result, struggled to make sense of suffering, or discovered that faith sometimes raises as many questions as it answers.Wisdom isn't having an explanation for everything. It is learning how to live faithfully when we don't.When easy answers fall away, what remains may be the wisdom we needed all along. This item is printed on demand.
Suite shows how these three books belong together.
- Proverbs reveals the patterns of God's world.
- Ecclesiastes exposes life's unpredictability.
- Job teaches us to trust God amid mystery.
Together they offer a mature faith capable of navigating real life. Each chapter includes:
- Biblical teaching rooted in all three wisdom books
- Reflection questions
- Spiritual practices
- "Tension Moments" that challenge simplistic faith
- Practical applications for everyday discipleship
Whether you're walking through success, disappointment, unanswered prayers, or suffering, this book offers something increasingly rare: not easy answers, but resilient wisdom. Because wisdom is not having all the answers. Wisdom is remaining faithful to the God who does.
