"Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this sun of York;
And all the clouds that lour'd upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried."
--William Shakespeare, Richard III
These words opened the play Richard III and those feelings of discontent were no less a universal experience then than now. People yearn for more and they don't always find the best ways to go about it. Sometimes folks are hurt in the process and they're looked at as nothing but collateral damage. Sometimes no one gets hurt, but our yearning to content ourselves is overriding.
The stories in this book look to that wintery discontent for inspiration, telling all manner of stories. From political dissent to personal tragedy, each story in this book was crafted with care and empathy for the discontent we all face.
