Item description from seller

An illustrated work on the beautiful stained glass windows within the Merchant Taylors' Hall, written by Frederick Morris Fry and Walter Lloyd Thomas. 'The Windows of Merchant Taylors' Hall' looks at the historic Merchant Taylors' Hall, illustrating and describing the stained glass windows within the Hall. The authors provide plans of the windows in the Hall, as well as recording the names of members whose arms are inserted into the windows. This work was published in 1934, six years before a significant portion of the Hall was burned down. With a colour frontispiece, and twenty-one plates. Written by Frederick Morris Fry and Walter Lloyd Thomas. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. A little loss to the head and tail of the spine. Small mark to the spine and a very little marking to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright with scattered spotting to the first and last few pages. Very Good.
