Paperback. "Among the many creatures who called Willowmere Pond home, none enjoyed a morning swim more than the mallards, Bartholomew and Morse." These words open the door to the magical world of Willowmere Pond, a place of wonder and whimsy, of unpredictable adventures and unforgettable friendships. Come along with Trafalgar Squirrel as he searches he-knows-not-where for he-knows-not-what. Discover again with him the enchantment of nature, and meet a host of animals so like-and yet unlike-ourselves.Mysteries await at every turn. When will the strange flowers bloom? Whose is the voice in the mist? What does Titus Tortoise do in the darkness on the hill, and why does a raccoon need a thwacking stick? And will Trafalgar ever find whatever-it-is he's looking for?Lighthearted and humorous, but strangely poignant, the tale takes readers through adventure and celebration, joy and loss, awe and longing, all without straying far from the grassy banks of Willowmere Pond. Engaging for children, but filled with surprises for adults, this is a story for childlike hearts. [Revised edition] This item is printed on demand.
