14 cm x 22.5 cm. 257 pages. Original Hardcover with original dustjacket in protective collector's mylar. Excellent condition with only very minor signs of external wear. Includes for example the following essays: Lond of the Flies / The Inheritors / Pincher Martin / Free Fall / The Spire / Perspectives. "The authors knew [Golding] personally and discussed many of his books with him. This study stands, therefore, as an unrivalled and contemporary view of the emergence of the works one by one, their relation to one another, and their collective distinction as the astonishing imaginative achievement of a great English writer and moralist."
