8x14 cm. Rare trade card for Porter Bros. promoting the Chicago Industrial Exposition of 1874. Mild wear and soiling. Recto has an uncolored view of the Exposition building engraved by Chicago Engraving Company. The verso, printed in red, is advertising for Porter Bros., Wholesale Dealers in green & Dried California Fruit, located at 171 South Water St. in Chicago. The Exposition was held to demonstrate Chicago's revival following the Great Fire of 1871.
