'From Civilisational Wisdom to Digital Power, Global Enterprise and Viksit Bharat 2047
Can India become a developed nation by 2047?
In We Will Do It, Dr. Aurobindo Ghosh explores this compelling question through the story of India's transformation and the possibilities that lie ahead as the nation approaches one hundred years of Independence.
From digital payments and technological innovation to global enterprises, infrastructure, defence manufacturing, agriculture, energy security and rural economic transformation, the book examines how India is building the capabilities needed for a stronger and more prosperous future. It reflects on the changing confidence of Indian enterprise, the growing importance of technological self-reliance, and the opportunities created by a young population, expanding markets and an ancient civilisation with enduring wisdom.
The book moves beyond the celebration of achievements to consider the work that remains. Its forward-looking roadmap examines the interconnected challenges of water security, food production, infrastructure, clean energy, education, skills, employment, future technologies and effective institutions. It argues that national development cannot depend on isolated projects or aspirations alone. It requires sustained execution, innovation, accountability and the participation of citizens across every generation.
At the heart of this vision lies a simple but powerful conviction: India can embrace modernity without losing its civilisational identity, achieve global competitiveness without sacrificing human values, and pursue prosperity while expanding opportunity for all.
Written with the perspective of an experienced educationist, author and researcher, We Will Do It is both a reflection on India's journey and an invitation to shape its future.
The India of 2047 is yet to be built. The dream is before us. The responsibility is ours. And the answer is: We Will Do It.
