The author, a keen observer of the natural world, writes with passion about the beauty and diversity of the living creatures that inhabit the area and the importance of preserving our natural heritage. Rich in fascinating anecdotes about the animals, birds, and insects he encounters, the author writes of fishing for salmon, trout, and pike, of watching nesting rooks, and the arrival and departure of migratory birds. The author's insights into the behavior and habits of such creatures show us the interconnectedness of various species, providing a glimpse into the intricate tapestry of life that exists all around us, if we take the time to observe it. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…
