The eighth page-turning thriller in the #1 New York Times bestselling Power Plays series.

When an anonymous E-mail alerts UpLink International's operatives to suspicious activity on an exclusive island resort, Pete Nimec goes undercover to investigate.

Located off the coast of Trinidad, Rayos del Sol is not just a playground for the world's richest and most powerful people--it's also the headquarters for a joint fiber-optic--oil refinery project run by UpLink and Sedco Oil. What Nimec discovers is a plot to drain oil from the United States' Strategic Petroleum Reserve and sell it to outlaw nations. And when the island's highly trained security force is sent to take Nimec out, heaven on earth erupts into hell.

A little more than thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore's Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October, sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list after President Reagan pronounced it "the perfect yarn." From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. He passed away in October 2013.
