Item description from seller

Cloth backed boards. Illustrations. 400 copies printed by Susan Acker. In the Foreword the author describes how he and Lewis Osborne discussed compiling some of the author's writings (short fiction, factual articles, travel sketches, boys' stories, book reviews, etc.) in book form. Because of other priorities, the project was put off, and Lewis Osborne died. The project sat around for three decades until in recent years the author once more picked it up, this time discussing it with Linda and Wayne Bonnett. Titles of some of Oscar Lewis' writings are: The Tree; Free Auto Camp Ground; When the Iron Horse First Ran West; The Medal He Lost; John Henry Nash; The Jumping Frog Contest; Jack London's California; Stanford -- "It is Pleasant to b e Rich"; etc.
