"So Wicked My Love" by Bruno Fischer is a crime noir thriller first published by Gold Medal Books in 1954. The story revolves around Ray, a young WWII veteran, who becomes entangled in a dangerous web of crime, love, lust, and murder after encountering Cherry Drew, a woman from his past.,The narrative kicks off on Coney Island, where Ray, still reeling from a broken engagement, runs into Cherry Drew. Initially, Cherry seems to ignore him, but she later approaches him, claiming not to have recognized him. Ray is drawn to Cherry and soon discovers she's involved in an armored car robbery and is being pursued by her former accomplices. In a moment of impulsiveness, Ray gives Cherry his engagement ring and decides to flee with her and the stolen money. However, after a violent encounter with two of the pursuing criminals, Ray chooses to abandon the money and contact the police anonymously.
