In the second part of this 6 part serial novel, Rory and Dawn struggle to escape the Slobberers, horrific huge worm creatures with slavering tongues that suck the insides out of living creatures. Dawn is threatened by sheep with steel wool but her new step-mother won't take her story seriously. A plague of frogs confuses things even more and the frog general seems about to eat Gramps as the book reaches its cliff-hanger ending.
