At the 10-12% you actually face, your purchasing power halves every 6-7 years, which means a crore saved today buys about 3 to 6 lakhs worth by the time you retire.Your FD pays 7%, and after tax that is 4.9%, so the safest product you own loses purchasing power every year you hold it. Gold returned 13-14% a year over the same period and beat the Sensex even after tax. I think it is worth noticing that the 1 asset nobody could print is the 1 asset that worked. The book covers why money stopped being backed by anything in 1971, what CPI leaves out, the M3 versus Sensex analysis tested across 252 months of RBI data, and Bitcoin as the logical next step with the honest case against it.I am not going to tell you what to buy.
