9th revised edition hardcover, sewn-bound in dark blue cloth with faded gilt lettering on front cover, and even more faded gilt lettering on spine, is in GOOD condition, having a vertical crack on spine cloth (see photo); corners bumped and worn; fraying to top and bottom spine; covers and spine show rubbing/scuffing; small penciled notaton by former owner/bookseller at bottom right of first fixed endpaper; some staining to closed page edges, and these stains intrude slightly into interior text (rather faint); pull-out page re: the "Prinicpal London Theatres," listing data including proscenium info, depth of stage, seating capacity, etc.--this page is slightly askew due to careless folding, but not bad; faint previous bookseller erasures at top of first free endpaper. On the first free endpaper is SIGNATURE OF AMERICAN ACTRESS ALICE PEARCE, along with a date "May 1943" written in dark blue fountain ink.
