Add to basketTime-tunnel trip that shows how some of history's greatest makers, creators, and ideas helped to shape the world of today.
Who invented the car, different types of vaccinations, the light bulb or the microwave?
The things we are surrounded by didn't just appear out of nowhere, they were conceived by talented inventors, scientists, and engineers.
While some inventions were the result of teamwork and a long time in the lab, some inventions just happened to be made by accident or by looking for something else.
Unravel how classic inventions and creators paved the way for the modern tools and technology we have today. Who Invented This? is a visual journey for children that shows how the groundbreaking masters from the past connect with the technology, culture, and medicine of today.
Making her debut in children's literature, Anne Ameri-Siemens is using decades worth of experience as an author and journalist to tell a whimsical story about human development and the surrounding world around us. Her 2007 book "For the RAF it was the system, for me the father" was Spiegel bestseller, and she was awarded the Corine International Book Prize. This was later adapted into a documentary titled under the name "Who gave you the right to murder?," which was later nominated for the Grimme Prize in 2008. She previously worked for Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung, SZ-Magazin, and German television.
Becky Thorns is the talented illustrator behind our Little Gestalten title World of Whales.
