A symbol of America's pioneering spirit Boone was a skilled outdoorsman and an avid reader although he never attended school. Sydelle Kramer skillfully recounts Boone's many adventures such as the day he rescued his own daughter from kidnappers.
About the Author: S. A. KRAMER is the author of many nonfiction early readers on topics as varied as submarines and the first summit of Mount Everest. She has written many sports readers, including the recently revised edition of Basketball's Greatest Players. Kramer lives in Brooklyn, New York.
