Paperback. In Valedorn, honor is worth more than life - and the appearance of honor, with disturbing frequency, is worth even more than honor itself. When Lady Eleanor of Ravengard loses, through pure carelessness, her lineage's sacred ring in the waters of a stream, the panic of a single instant leads her to invent an attack that never happened. The lie grows. Three innocent men die. And when a simple fisherman finds the ring in the belly of a fish, he himself resorts to a second, even more devastating lie, to save his own life. At the climax of this story about truth, cowardice, and redemption, a father will be forced to choose between his house's honor and his own daughter's life - until an unexpected voice, rising from the middle of the crowd, finally reveals what no one had yet dared to say. Where Is the Truth? is a medieval novel about the terrible price we pay when we choose the comfort of a lie over the discomfort of truth - and about the redemption, always possible, though never easy, waiting on the other side of that choice.
