Where The River Keeps Secrets
Twenty years ago, the Ravenwater River took Elena Cross's younger brother. Or at least that's what the town of Blackridge believed. A bicycle was found beside the riverbank, the current was strong that night, and the valley accepted the explanation it had always used when someone disappeared near the water.
But Elena never believed it.
Now she has returned to the quiet mountain town she left behind, determined to uncover what really happened the night Daniel vanished. As she begins searching for answers, old memories resurface-memories of strange headlights in the forest, a black truck on the river road, and whispers in a town that has spent decades avoiding the truth.
The deeper Elena digs, the more she realizes Daniel may have discovered something dangerous before he disappeared. Hidden paths in the forest, mysterious shipments moving through the valley, and a symbol that keeps appearing in unexpected places all point to a secret operation buried beneath the mountain.
Someone has been using the Ravenwater River to hide something.
And they have been doing it for years.
As Elena follows the trail her brother left behind, she begins to uncover a conspiracy that stretches far beyond a single missing boy. Powerful people in Blackridge are protecting something hidden deep beneath the valley-something connected to the river, the mountain, and a project that was never meant to be discovered.
Now Elena must decide how far she is willing to go for the truth.
Because the closer she gets to the answers, the clearer it becomes that the town of Blackridge didn't just lose a boy twenty years ago.
It buried a secret.
And the river has been keeping it ever since.
