What happens when a follower of Jesus makes life-altering bad choices? Whether from ignorance, misinformation, or a rebellious spirit, God’s children often wander away from his presence only to find themselves on a road with twists and turns that leave them lost and confused. This book reveals some of the many detours, twists, and turns, we take while we are trying to follow Jesus where he leads. You will be encouraged to discover that whether good, bad, or indifferent, the choices you have made will always be fashioned into a beautiful masterpiece of love and grace as you learn to trust in the Lord with all your heart, not lean on your own understanding, but acknowledge him in all your ways, as he makes the path straight before you.
Where He Leads takes you on a real life journey through a woman's experience in ministry with the God who called her. Betty is raw, real, and relevant, and she invites you to be the same with your own experience of following Jesus.
REV. NATALIE GIDNEY, Assistant Pastor Brazil Lake Wesleyan Church
This book was so captivating that it became a big problem for me since I could not stop reading once I started. Other important things got put off. It is engaging, insightful, and much can be learned about life. The openness, transparency and humility generates trust and credibility.
DR. L.D. BUCKINGHAM, Founder/CEO Buckingham Leadership Institute,
Pastor Moncton Wesleyan Church for 45 years
This book will inspire, encourage and challenge you! Dr. Johnson takes you on a journey of twists and turns that leaves you laughing one minute and crying the next. Each chapter leaves you wanting to read the next. It’s one of those books that’s hard to put down!
REV. CONNIE STEWART, Pastor Emerita, Truro Heights United Baptist Church
I grew up in a church that made an art out of testimonies: accounts of God's faithfulness that brought the stories of the Scriptures into the present through believers' recounting their own lives. Betty Johnson's Where He Leads is a book length testimony. An honest memoir that finds the presence of God in the best and worst of places an invites readers to look for God in their own life-stories.
REV'D DR TIM PERRY, Dean and Professor of Theology, Providence Theological Seminary, Author of Funerals: For the Care of Souls(Lexham Press) and Mary for Evangelicals (InterVarsity Press)
Betty Johnson’s memoir, Where He Leads, takes the reader on a delightful journey of faith and ministry. Combining humor, heartache, and hope, this masterful storyteller draws significant meaning from her life experiences, and shares them in a way that is both beautiful and compelling.
DR. MARK O. WILSON, Religion Professor, Southern Wesleyan University, Author of Purple Fish and Filled Up, Poured Out
