The forest knows Pip’s name. Now it wants to decide who he should become.
The adventure that began in Behind the Door with No Hinges continues.
Pip Vale has already discovered that magical doors can remember people, broken objects can hide dangerous intentions, and the truth about his past is connected to a mysterious Australian magpie named Piper.
Now something new has appeared beyond the school grounds.
A silver forest.
Inside it, paths change when nobody is watching, names fade from trees, memories disappear and children can be forgotten by the people who love them most.
Somewhere among the roots is Tavi Fen, a boy who carries a bell so others will remember he exists.
But Tavi is not the only reason the forest is waiting.
It knows about Pip.
It knows about Piper.
And it knows the truth Silas Vale has spent years trying to hide.
Soon Pip is offered three names, three possible futures and a choice no one else can make for him.
Because discovering who you were is not the same as deciding who you are.
With Miri, Clara, Nessa, Tavi and the others beside him, Pip must survive shifting paths, forgotten names, strange creatures and magic that seems to understand him better than he understands himself.
And even if he escapes the forest, something older is already stirring beneath the water.
- The forest wanted his name.
- The water may want something more.
This paperback edition of Where the Forest Steals Your Name includes black-and-white fantasy illustrations that bring the silver forest, Tavi’s bell, Pip’s mysterious wing-shapes and the next stage of his magical journey to life.
A mysterious and exciting fantasy adventure filled with wand magic, enchanted forests, hidden worlds, friendship, family secrets, magical creatures and dangerous choices.
Ideal for adventurous readers who enjoy fantasy series, magic wands, mysterious worlds and stories that make it difficult to stop at one more chapter.
