- I read your AMAZING anthology and amazing doesn’t begin to describe it. All I can say is that it was GRIPPING…from the first page I was grabbed and then the stories that followed, one after another captivated me – and kept building. - The model of SIS is an inspiring example of bringing diverse people together. It underscores the reality that as we get to know one another and become friends, racism and prejudice organically melt away and, one heart at a time, will lead to change in the world.
- It is the common threads among us that bind us. SIS is a spark that will light the fire toward change, uniting us all. Where Colors Meet is sure to inspire others to adopt and implement the SIS model.
Dr. Mary Gramling Barbee, Clinical Psychologist & International Speaker
- Where Colors Meet is a book that takes great care in providing narratives of African Americans who are a part of the ongoing struggle for freedom that have been minimally explored. The book from the onset lays out perfectly what racism is, how it works, and why it still impacts the subjugation of African Americans today. Whether you are an academic, grass roots activist or a curious observer, due to its authenticity, this book is a must read!
Dr. Vincent Adejumo
Senior Lecturer of African American Studies, University of Florida
