Working in Christian ministry for more than thirty years, Stephen D. McConnell has stood alongside members of his congregations as they enjoyed many of life's great moments - marriage, childbirth, graduations, anniversaries - and suffered through the difficult ones - illness, divorce, depression, grief. McConnell, like all pastors, has seen good things happen to bad people, and bad things happen to good people. And through it all, the repeated question has been: why? When the Wind is Against You is an outstretched hand to anyone who has ever felt overcome by discouragement. Taking a fresh look at spirituality, When the Wind is Against You focuses on grace and joy, not guilt and remorse, to deliver practical principles for daily living that can help you get the most out of your life. McConnell's insights and recommendations, based upon his weekly preaching, are grounded in classical theology, and presented in a highly readable form that Christian readers will recognize, and by which they will be comforted, nourished, and encouraged to endure.…
