Paperback. When The Rotor Bug Bites: Acquiring Your First Helicopter is a comprehensive guide for anyone stepping into the world of rotorcraft. From debunking common helicopter myths to analysing the evolving VTOL market, this book navigates every critical decision-whether to lease, buy, or build, selecting the right materials, engines, and fuel types, and even choosing the optimal number of blades. It delves into type certification, insurance, and training challenges, and explores advanced avionics, autopilots, gear and equipment considerations. Covering everything from tail rotors to water operations, cargo solutions, and financing options, this book equips readers with the knowledge to make informed decisions. With an eye on industry stagnation and the future of innovative designs, it introduces The RapidSky Solution-a fresh perspective on the next generation of helicopters. Whether you're a sceptic, a dreamer, or ready to take action, this book is your ultimate companion on the journey to rotorcraft ownership, and vertical flight. This item is printed on demand.
