Countless Christians have grown up attending church regularly and believe in the future promise of salvation in Jesus. However, many never experience the depth of who Jesus is and the power of what He did on the cross. Knowing Jesus intimately, rather than just knowing about Him, is an invitation to understand why Jesus took religion to the cross and exchanged it for relationship.
Author Emily A. Smith provides readers with a compelling testimony of her personal, and vulnerable, perspective of God's faithfulness. Her testimony demonstrates how a single "yes" to God ignited a passionate commitment to not just observe God through a lens of religion, but to experience Jesus and the Holy Spirit through the lens of an intimate relationship. When Jesus Shows Up In Skinny Jeans invites readers on a journey to experience their own intimate relationship with Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and the Father.
Emily challenges readers to step out of their religious comfort zones and get uncomfortable with Jesus, to mature in a faith-based relationship with the Trinity, and to exercise the authority that Jesus Christ gave to the Church through His victorious death and resurrection.
