Old Amos Frazier had not been doing very well running a railroad construction camp. He had made a bad miscalculation, and was losing money every day. He decided to pay off his men, and leaving his son, Emery, to deal with the men, Pay the various outstanding bills, put the horses to pasture, and generally look after the outfit, he went in search of new contracts. Left to himself, young Emery had the feeling that he would not see his father again for a long time. Like his father, Emery Frazier was a man of spirit and determination. He was very enthusiastic about the possibilities of wheat ranching, though his father had been pessimistic about the whole idea. But Emery felt that wheat ranching would prove more profitable, and in the long run would re-establish their diminishing fortunes. This is the story of the young wheat rancher, his failures and successes. Seller Inventory # R46542
