Paperback. Carole and her husband, Gene, retired to the Hawaiian island of Kaua'i in 1994. But living in paradise didn't end their wanderlust. In the decades thereafter they visited over 100 countries and 38 states. And in just about every place, when locals learned where they were from, the inevitable reaction was "What in the world are you doing here?" The result of all their travel is this gem of a memoir, which shares the most enlightening lessons the author has learned. Funny and insightful, witty and wise, it's a book that will educate, entertain and, most important, inspire you to do the same - even if, like Carole, you get hopelessly lost in Vienna, high on coca tea in Machu Picchu, or have your butt grabbed by an Omani rug salesman. Carole and Gene now live in the Napa Valley of California. This is her second memoir. Shipping may be from our Sydney, NSW warehouse or from our UK or US warehouse, depending on stock availability.
