About the Author
It was as a teenager that Julie Rader was first introduced to, and taught the power of meditation, by her own Mother! This experience became the foundation for what is now, over twenty years of Julie teaching yoga and meditation to students of her own. Julie has dedicated her life to the study, and understanding of the power of the mind, through the art of meditation. This dedication includes the study of Kriya yoga under Swami Janakandana, where a 33 day vow of non-communication (no speaking, reading, or writing), had a profound effect on Julie, expanding both her mind and her intuition. She continued her studies under many different Masters here, and also studied in India at the Bihar School of Yoga. Combining her experiences of above with a Masters degree in Exercise Physiology, a Bachelors degree in Psychology, and over 30,000 hours of yoga and meditation taught, Julie's intuitive teaching methods are well suited to weave the ancient wisdom of yoga and meditation into the everyday lives of not only the hundreds of yoga teachers she has certified worldwide, but her thousands of students which include Julie's public classes, students, corporate trainings, world-class athletes, and the U.S. National Teams for volleyball, soccer, and cycling. Allowing them all to tap into their highest potential. Julie is also a passionate sports fan. Enthusiastically rooting on her home town teams of the Cincinnati Reds, and Bengals, as well as, her soccer club favorite, Liverpool FC, but her favorite role in life, is being a mother to her two little yogis, Samson and Olina. Julie is constantly in awe of how much her children teach her about mindfulness every day.
