About this Item
Attributed to James Taylor [1788-1863], a British banker and author on finance. An early attempt at economic theory, which speculates as to the true nature of money and the best ways of securing the national financial system. Taylor became an anti-bullionist in response to the controversial Bullion Report of 1810. He wrote prolifically and published numerous works on currency and monetary issues and his writings were significant enough to secure an entry into late-Victorian editions of the Dictionary of National Biography. [Nat West Group] 8vo, 29pp, disbound, signature trimmed from top title page, no wrappers present, spine held with original binders glue. OCLC 81407446. As is. Seller Inventory # 20159
