The Kingdom of Tutterhelm is turned completely upside-down, when a jealous older brother named Prince Vincent decides to play a seemingly harmless trick on his parents.
The Prince wants to teach them a lesson for giving more attention to his new baby sister, Princess Caroline. But his intentions backfire, and the royal family must learn to cope with jealousy.
A magic mirror, a missing Queen Helene, a forlorn King Magnus, an estranged Princess Caroline, and years of strife play out, as the Prince and King are used as pawns by an evil councilman trying to bring down the royal family.
Discover how the royals endure the twists and turns of a plot gone wrong, and rejoice in the magical ending that will warm hearts and result in lessons learned.
What Happened in Tutterhelm is sure to become a favorite new fairy tale for everyone who is young at heart.
Melissa Bailey Slater is a wife, mother of two, and an engineering project manager. As a child, she made up stories to entertain her three younger siblings. As a mother, she is still telling stories. The author grew up in South Carolina and Georgia, and now resides in Washington State. The sibling rivalry from her childhood is the inspiration for this story. Her previous books are Well, For Goodness Sake Little Jake and Something’s Amiss With Miss Priss. She hopes to open children’s minds through the imagination of books and spur a love for reading.
