An Essential Guide to Understanding God’s Will, Our Identity, and Our Purpose in His Kingdom
Have you ever stopped to ask, “What does God really want from me?”
Many Christians sincerely desire to serve God, discover their purpose, use their spiritual gifts, and fulfill their calling. Yet before we ask what we can do for God, we must first understand what God desires from us.
This book takes us back to the heart of Jesus’ teaching: to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love our neighbour as ourselves. From these two great commandments flows the whole Christian life.
But what does loving God actually look like?
How do we know His will?
How do we distinguish God's purpose from our personal ambition?
Who are we in God's plan?
How should we respond to our gifts and calling?
What does it mean to serve God without seeking recognition?
And how do we position ourselves to faithfully fulfil what God has entrusted to us?
In What Does God Really Want From Us?, Monday Oshili explores these questions from a biblical and practical perspective. The book moves from love to obedience, from identity to purpose, from spiritual gifts to service, and from discovering God's will to faithfully walking in it.
You will discover why:
- Loving God must come before working for God.
- Genuine love produces obedience.
- Knowing God is more important than merely knowing about God.
- Our identity must be established before our assignment.
- Spiritual gifts are given to serve others, not to exalt ourselves.
- God's purpose is greater than personal ambition.
- Character must accompany spiritual gifts.
- God's will requires surrender, discernment, preparation, patience, and faithfulness.
- Loving people is an essential expression of loving God.
- Not every opportunity is God's assignment.
- Sometimes God's will requires us to move, while at other times it requires us to wait.
- True Christian service is ultimately an expression of love.
At the heart of this book is a simple progression:
LOVE GOD → BECOME LIKE CHRIST → LOVE PEOPLE → SERVE HIS PURPOSE
God is not merely looking for people who can work for Him. He is looking for people who love Him, know Him, obey Him, become like Christ, love people, and faithfully participate in His purpose.
If you have ever wondered what God truly expects from your life, how to discover His will, or how your identity, gifts, calling, and purpose fit into His Kingdom, this book will help you look beyond religious activity and discover the heart of the One you were created to serve.
The question is simple.
The answer can transform the way you live.
What does God really want from us?
Discover the answer—and discover the life He is calling you to live.
