Welcome to the Farm / Bienvenidos a la Granja
Rosa has just moved somewhere brand new—and nothing feels like home yet. Not the desert. Not the cactus flowers. Not even the air.
Then a boy named Juan waves from across the fence, and a spotted llama named Manchas appears out of nowhere. Manchas never talks—she simply shows up, usually when someone needs a friend.
By sunset, Rosa has something she did not have that morning: a new friend, a welcoming farm, and a place that is beginning to feel like hers.
Book 1 of Manchas’ Happy Llama Club is a bilingual English-Spanish picture book about the ache of being new, the courage to take one small step, and the everyday moments that turn strangers into friends.
This expanded edition includes much more than the story. Children can continue learning and playing with:
- Bilingual greetings and vocabulary practice
- Story comprehension and sequencing
- A kindness mission
- Drawing and creativity activities
- Matching, counting, patterns, and a simple maze
- Full-color collectible cut-out characters and outfits
- An official Happy Llama Club membership card
Warm, full-color illustrations bring Happy Llama Farm to life, with English and Spanish presented together for bilingual families, dual-language classrooms, homeschoolers, and children learning either language.
Every adventure leads to Restaurante Oro Valley for a quiet moment of reflection—and every reader is invited to become part of the Happy Llama Club, where friendship, kindness, courage, and belonging always matter.
Perfect for children in grades K–3, bilingual readers, ESL learners, classrooms, and families raising readers in two languages.
For every child who has ever felt new somewhere—and every family building a place to call home.
