Paperback. The road is long. The burden is heavy. The message is not his own.For more than thirty years, traveling preacher Elijah Cross has carried God's Word from one small church to another across the Bible Belt. He has preached in packed sanctuaries and nearly empty chapels. He has seen lives changed, families restored, and prodigals come home.He has also faced criticism, loneliness, rejection, and the weight of delivering messages many people do not want to hear. When a struggling mountain church invites him to hold a revival, Elijah once again answers God's call. What follows is a powerful journey through faith, repentance, restoration, and the lives of ordinary people whose testimonies reveal an extraordinary God.A grieving widow.A wounded veteran.A recovering addict.A struggling farmer.A young preacher wrestling with God's calling. Each story reminds Elijah-and the reader-that God is still working, still calling, and still changing lives. The Weight of the Message is a heartfelt Christian novel about obedience, truth, and the unseen burden carried by those who answer God's call. For more than thirty years, traveling preacher Elijah Cross has carried God's Word from one small church to another across the Bible Belt. He has preached in packed sanctuaries and nearly empty chapels. He has seen lives changed, families restored, and prodigals come home.
He has also faced criticism, loneliness, rejection, and the weight of delivering messages many people do not want to hear.
When a struggling mountain church invites him to hold a revival, Elijah once again answers God's call. What follows is a powerful journey through faith, repentance, restoration, and the lives of ordinary people whose testimonies reveal an extraordinary God.
A grieving widow.
A wounded veteran.
A recovering addict.
A struggling farmer.
A young preacher wrestling with God's calling.
Each story reminds Elijah—and the reader—that God is still working, still calling, and still changing lives.
The Weight of the Message is a heartfelt Christian novel about obedience, truth, and the unseen burden carried by those who answer God's call. It is a tribute to pastors, evangelists, missionaries, and faithful servants everywhere who continue proclaiming God's Word, one soul at a time.
Because sometimes the greatest weight is not the message itself...
It's knowing Who gave it.
