The Weight of the Hustle is Tamu's story of growing up between East Falls and West Philadelphia, discovering music at an early age, and learning what loyalty, ambition, loss, and survival really cost.
From selling candy as a kid to recording music, building Kock N Skweez, becoming a father, working in radio, engineering sessions with some of Philadelphia's most recognizable artists, and pursuing opportunities in film and media, Tamu's journey has never followed a straight road.
Along the way came friendships that became family, opportunities that disappeared, street life, relationships, legal trouble, devastating losses, and moments that forced him to decide what kind of man he wanted to become.
The Weight of the Hustle isn't a story about glorifying the past. It's about carrying the lessons of that past into the future-and understanding that sometimes surviving the hustle is only the beginning
