Front. port. & 1 other plate. Orig. grey stiff card wrappers, lettered in red. v.g. Not in BL or listed on Copac. Several copies on OCLC. An account of events during late 1918 and the first months of 1919, when the ill-fated Hungarian People's Republic gained power, exploiting the power vacuum in the wake of the First World War. Written by a dispossessed aristocrat, there is little nuance in this work, with blame for the political upheaval heaped squarely on the shoulders of 'Bolshewist' Russians and paid Jews.
