In Fairview, Kansas, the coffee is always on — and nobody makes it through the season alone.
Candace has just come home from the trip of a lifetime, and she can't shake the feeling that something is missing. Ten days in Italy. A husband who planned every detail. So why does the quiet house feel like a question she's been avoiding for twenty years?
Hazel is raising her grandchildren while her son's marriage comes apart four states away — and quietly keeping a secret of her own, one with an easy laugh and a habit of arriving five minutes early.
Elisha is halfway to a degree, halfway through a novel she won't admit she's writing, and finally close enough to her father to ask the question she's never asked: why did he leave?
Nancy has spent years being the pastor's wife. With one new friendship, she starts to become someone else.
And Susan is ready to stop calling this town temporary.
Then, on a rain-slick highway in November, everything stops.
Harvest festivals and hospital waiting rooms. Prayer journals and second chances. Wednesday Night Ladies, Book Three is a warm, honest story about the friendships that hold when life doesn't — and the families we build out of the pieces.
