About the Author: Ada Calhoun has written for The New York Times, New York magazine, and the New York Post. She is the author of St. Marks Is Dead (W.W. Norton & Co., Nov 2015), a "revelatory" (Kirkus), "captivating, multidimensional" (Publishers Weekly) narrative history. With St. Marks Is Dead, Ada Calhoun just became the most important new voice on old New York, wrote the Village Voice in a 2015 cover profile of the author. Born and raised on St. Marks Place, she lives in Brooklyn.
