Feeling overwhelmed by coding? Not sure where to start—or worried it might be too complicated?
You’re not alone. Many beginners open their first web development book and quickly feel lost in technical jargon and confusing explanations. This book is different.
Web Development for Beginners is your friendly, step-by-step guide to understanding how the web really works—and learning how to build your own websites from scratch, even if you’ve never written a single line of code before.
Written in a warm, beginner-first style, this book removes the fear and replaces it with clarity, confidence, and steady progress. No prior experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn.
What you’ll learn inside:• How the web works—from browsers and servers to domains and hosting
• HTML fundamentals to structure real web pages
• CSS and modern layout techniques like Flexbox and Grid to design beautiful, responsive websites
• JavaScript for beginners, including variables, functions, and interactive features
• DOM manipulation and events to make your pages dynamic
• Responsive web design so your site looks great on any device
• Working with APIs and real-world data
• Building and launching your first complete website project
Why this book works for beginners:
Instead of overwhelming you with theory, this book focuses on practical learning and real understanding.
You’ll follow a clear path where each concept builds naturally on the last—so you never feel stuck or lost.
Along the way, you’ll:
• Learn through simple, explained examples you can actually follow
• Avoid common beginner mistakes (and understand why they happen)
• Build confidence with small wins that add up quickly
• Practice with real-world projects, not just isolated code snippets
• Develop skills that you can use immediately
This isn’t just about memorizing syntax—it’s about helping you think like a web developer.
Perfect for:• Complete beginners with no coding experience
• Students and self-learners exploring web development for beginners
• Anyone who wants to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript the right way
• Creatives, entrepreneurs, or professionals looking to build their own website
You don’t need to be “techy.” You don’t need a computer science degree. And you don’t need to get everything perfect the first time.
All you need is a starting point—and this book is designed to be exactly that.
Start your journey today. Build your first website. And discover how capable you really are.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
