From the moment he first saw her, he knew their heartsthreads were interwoven.
Rekosh had little interest in taking a mate-at least not until he met Ahmya. Small, delicate, and human, she is so unlike his kind. She is a vibrant flower flourishing amidst strangling vines. And he recognizes in her a deep, indomitable determination, inspiring curiosity, and fiery passion. She awakens fierce protective instincts in him and rouses a craving like he's never experienced. He wants nothing more than to declare his feelings for her.
Yet with every breath comes a new obstacle, a new danger, threatening to take Ahmya away from him forever. As they are forced to fight for survival in a hostile jungle, it seems the gods themselves are intent on keeping the two apart.
So Rekosh will weave his own fate.
Ahmya is the mate of his hearts, and she will be his, no matter what he must do to gain her affection. He will claim her, shield her, love her, and entwine their souls so thoroughly that they will never be severed.
